Greek Myth and Philosophy

On Monday 23rd, Sept. and Tuesday 24th, Sept. we spent the time looking at the contributions of the ancient Greeks to our understanding of good and truth through their use of myth and philosophy. We also turned in the assignment from last time. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Turn in your assignment from last time.

2) Please read Chapter 4 Section 4 (just pages 128-131, starting with the red heading Greek Philosophy) and complete the notes to the best of your ability.

3) Take some time to research some Greek mythology and find at least one Greek myth to read and write a 1/2 page personal response to by discussing what the moral of the myth is and why and how you think the myth was used to teach cultural values. This will make up for the discussion we had on Greek myth.
