Wrapping it up!

On Friday 29th, May and Monday 1st, June in all classes we wrapped up our main objectives and class by doing the following:

1) Discussed final grades and handed out printouts.

2) Completed a small class/teacher evaluation.

3) Did a small activity to recap what we have learned over the year/semester.

There is no specific make up required, but please remember the last day for makeup and late work was today!

Last Test of the Year!

On Thursday 28th, May we took our final test. If you were absent you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Turn in your three green notes sheets from this last unit.

2) Turn in your pink vocabulary review crossword.

3) Make up your test by Tuesday 2nd, June. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Challenges of a New Century

On Tuesday 26th, May we spent the day talking about the challenges the world is facing today and then reviewing for our final test. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

Book Report Presentations

On Thursday 21st, May we listened to the Fourth Quarter Book Report presentations. For the remaining time we went over the assignment from last time. We also checked in books for those who were not able to check the book in last time. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Please make sure you turn in the assignment from last time, Modern World.

2) Nothing to make up for the book reports.

Middle East & The Modern World

On Tuesday 19th, May we turned in our textbooks and completed notes and an assignment focusing on the modern world. Substitute Work

On Friday 15th, May I was unexpectedly absent. In order to make up what you missed please take a look at the instructions I left the substitute and follow the instructions.

 1) Please turn in your assignment from last time, Western Europe and North America.

2) Complete the book assignment mentioned.

3) You will need to choose one of the following men and do self-research and write a 3/4 page summary about what you learned about him. You may choose either Fidel Castro OR Mao Tse Tung.

TEST: Chapters 24 & 26 World War II

On Monday 11th, May we took our test. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Turn in your things we needed for test prep:
 - Assignment from last time on Course of the War.
- Review crossword
- Unit notes

2) Schedule a time to come in and take your test, ASAP. You need to do this before the end of next week.

Test Review

On Thursday 7th, May we took time to write a letter of appreciation to teachers and then spent the rest of the time correcting the last assignment and then reviewing for the test. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Please take time to write a small letter of appreciation for one of your teachers and deliver it to them.

2) Turn in your assignment from last time, The Course of the War.

3) Download the following study guide and make sure you study for the test next time.

The Course of the War & The Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa

On Tuesday 5th, May we continued our look at WWII by discussing the course of the war and watching on video. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Read Chapter 26 Section 2 (864) and complete the following assignment.

Assignment: The Course of the War

2) You can do one of two things to make up the video. On Netflix you can watch WWII in HD: Glory and Guts and write a 1 page summary of what you learned. You only need to watch the first 30 mins of the episode.

OR

You can do some self research on the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa and write a 1 page summary of what you learned.

US Enters World War II

On Friday 1st, May we talked about the entry of the US into WWII. If you were absent, you will need to do the following:
