Early Humans and the Rise of Civilizations

On Thursday 27th, Aug. we discussed the rise of humans and the development of civilizations. The information presented was presented as a theory that is generally accepted by anthropologists and archaeologists. We discussed the development of humans and how agriculture led to the beginnings of human civilization. Students took notes on this information and then we completed an assignment identifying the six characteristics of civilization and then compared those characteristics to modern American society.

IMPORTANT: We now have access to our electronic textbook. In order to view the textbook on line you will to go to the following website www.glencoe.com/ose/

However, I have been asked to not share the code publicly, so you will need to come see me for the code. Alternately, you could ask a friend from class or email for the code.

1) If you were absent, please print out the following notes sheet and assignment. You will need to use the electronic textbook to complete the notes and assignment.

If you have any issues, please come see me. Thanks.
