TEST: Chapters 13 & 14

On Friday 16th, Jan. we took our test on Chapters 13 & 14. If you were absent you MUST schedule a time to make up this test by Thursday 22nd, Jan 3:00p. You must also turn in your review packet and the assignment on Chapter 14 Sec. 1 & 2 by this date.

On Wednesday 14th, Jan. I was gone to a district conference and there was a substitute. We completed our assignment for Chapter 14 Sec 1 & 2 that we began last time and reviewed for our test on Thursday and Friday. If you were absent, please read the following instructions and complete the review:

European Explorationpart 2 & Crisis in Europe

On Monday 12th, Jan. we continued our study of European exploration and began looking at the crises that gripped Europe in the 1500s and 1600s. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Turn in your assignments from last time.

2) Read Chapter 13 Sec 1 (The last section only on the Columbian Exchange) and Section 3 and complete the notes:

3) Read Chapter 14 Secs 1 & 2 and complete the following assignment. Unfortunately, since you were not here you will need to do both sides because you will not have a partner.

QUIZ Renaissance and Reformation & Intro to European Exploration

On Thursday 8th, Jan. we took our quiz on the Renaissance and Reformation. We then began our study of the European explorers. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Turn in your assignment from last time, The Spread of Protestantism

2) Schedule a time to make up your quiz by Friday 16th, Jan.!

3) Read Chapter 13 Section 1 - Exploration and Expansion in your text and complete the following notes and assignment.

Review and Spread of Protestantism

On Tuesday 6th, Jan. we review the materials on the Renaissance and Reformation we have been studying. We then completed an assignment on the Reformation. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

1) Read Chapter 12 Section 4 of your text and complete the following assignment.

2) Get ready for your quiz by:

- Reviewing the two green notes sheets you have previously received: one for Renaissance, one for Reformation.
- Reviewing the chart of important people in the Renaissance that you have already received.
- Reviewing the two assignments you have received: one from the sub  Life and Changes in the Renaissance and the one we did today The Spread of Protestantism.
- Studying the list of works of art that can be found in the post for Dec 16th. (three posts before this one).

Have a Good Break

On Friday 19th, Dec. we were absolutely decimated by the school sponsored movie and the beginning of break. If you were absent, there is not much to make up:

1) Turn in your notes and write up on Michelangelo from two class periods ago.

2) Have a great break.
